The donations that poured in during the time of Dave's death alone enabled his family to establish a scholarship in his honor thru the Salem Education Foundation in 1994. Today, two scholarships administered and endowed by the Salem Educational Foundation Website have been established and each year they are awarded to deserving Salem High School seniors, all in loving memory of Dave Lamanca.

   But it didn't stop there. The monies raised from The Dave Lamanca Golf  Scholarship Tournament enabled them to expand out into the Roanoke Valley and add The Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame Scholarship Program, Roanoke Valley Junior Golf Association, and The First Tee of Roanoke Valley to their scholarship roster.
